ABOUT US
Our Story
Established in 2020, the Cuyahoga Indigenous Tribal Council was founded to create a dedicated space for the Indigenous communities of Cuyahoga County in Cleveland, Ohio.
One of the council’s key achievements has been the restoration of ancestral lands, ensuring these sacred spaces remain protected for future generations. This ongoing commitment to land preservation reflects the deep connection between the community and their environment—an enduring relationship that spans centuries.
The council aims to cultivate a space where Indigenous peoples can reconnect with their heritage through traditional activities, communal gatherings, and educational programs. Through these efforts, the council fosters unity, strengthens cultural identity, and provides a vibrant platform for celebrating the richness of Indigenous traditions, ensuring they continue to thrive in contemporary life.
