Chickamauga Cherokee Language Class

Untitled (2)_edited.jpg

This class is inspired by the groundbreaking work of Cherokee linguist Sequoyah (ca. 1778–1843), whose teachings continue to preserve and celebrate the Chickamauga Cherokee language. Through these classes, students explore the rich history of the Cherokee language while gaining insights into the culture, traditions, and resilience of Indigenous peoples.

Interactive lessons provide students with foundational skills in Cherokee vocabulary, sentence structure, and pronunciation, fostering a deeper connection to this vibrant heritage.
